Environmental, social and governance

Environmental commitments

It is critical that all businesses make the appropriate changes to reach Net Zero and we are doing our part to achieve this key goal.

We started working with external net zero carbon advisers in summer 2022 to determine our current emissions and begin our journey towards becoming a net zero carbon business. We intend to make lasting and sustainable reductions in our carbon footprint such that we reach net zero by 2040.
These changes include:

  • Improving data capture to accurately measure the ongoing reduction in our carbon
  • Selecting renewable energy supplier for electricity supply
  • Using refurbished IT equipment wherever possible
  • Efficiencies in our consumable resource use and improvements in waste stream collection and recycling
  • Encouraging alternative forms of commuting, including cycle to work and public transport use

Social responsibility

We’re socially minded and work with charities that have touched the lives of our staff. We’re delighted to have supported The Mizen Foundation, the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, the Bexley Mayor Toy and Gift Appeal and The Bexley Foodbank in more recent years. Each year we raise funds for a different charity through our Christmas jumper day.

We also recognise the impact we have on future generations and support local schools by participating in careers events and supporting fundraising events. On top of this, we are always looking out for opportunities to support the local community and sponsored Sidcup Rugby Club in their 2022/3 season.

We are committed to ensuring the fair and equitable treatment of all employees and job applicants. Our inclusive culture means we welcome everyone on board. We are a diverse group of people with interesting backgrounds, varying routes to qualification and different career histories. Our collective experience is what makes us best able to advise our clients.
